Romulus vs Ilkeston Town
Kick-Off 3:00pm

The Robins recorded a 4-1 home win over Shepshed Dynamo. Jamie Walker gave Ilkeston the lead in just the 8th minute of the game. They held that lead until five minutes into the second half when Jordan Wilson fired home an equaliser. The Robins had an instant response and went ahead just a minute later through Kyle Dixon, who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Jamie Walker added a second with 20 minutes left to play with a stunning effort that curled into the top corner and the winger added his third and Ilkeston’s fourth with the last attack of the game.

Romulus picked up a 2-0 win away to Worcester City. City debutant Nyeko Sinclair turned the ball into his own net midway through the first half to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break. Roms captain Cameron Lee capped off the win when he headed in a free kick with less than half an hour to play.

The Robins have won three of their last five games. Both of their defeats came away from the New Manor Ground as they lost 2-0 and 1-0 to Quorn and Lye Town respectively.

They have scored in three of their last five matches finding the back of the net a total of 10 times. Defensively they have kept just one clean sheet, which came in their 3-0 win over Sporting Khalsa. In the remaining four matches they have conceded five times.

Romulus are unbeaten in their last five matches, winning two and drawing three. Their 1-1 home draw with Worcester City ended in a 7-6 penalty win.

They have kept two clean sheets in that period, which have come in their last two games. In the remaining three matches they have conceded four times. No side has kept Romulus out in the last five games, as they have scored on eight occasions.

Ilkeston will make it back to back wins with victory in this game. They will also end a run of six away games without a win. If they do not find the back of the net it will be the third away game in a row that Ilkeston have failed to score in.

It will see them reach the final of the League Cup for the first time after being knocked out in the first-round last season.

A win for Romulus will be their third straight win and will see them stretch their unbeaten run to nine games in all competitions, following their last defeat which came against Ilkeston. It will also stretch their unbeaten run at home to eight matches.

The Roms will reach the League Cup final in what is their first year competing in the cup.
