Juniors

Where it all begins.

Our football club has provided Junior and Youth football in the area of Ilkeston for over 30 years.

Ilkeston Town Juniors is a Chartered Standard Community Club, affiliated to Derbyshire FA.

Our ambition has always to have our own homegrown talent moving through the age groups and, if not talent-spotted first, to be able to offer these youngsters a pathway into senior football.

The junior section is made up of over 400 amazing children and young adults of Ilkeston ageing from 4 – 18 (boys and girls); allowing them the opportunity to learn and play the beautiful game.

Our “FUNdamental” stages “the Mini Robins club” ages 4 – 6 year olds where we develop our youngest players is held in the highest regard.

Over 100 volunteers work within our footballing provision, all are educated through the FA’s education syllabus and we are proud to say that more and more of our coaches are choosing to further their education in football, adding tangible benefit to our children. All our volunteers hold an enhanced DBS clearance and are required to have full first aid and safeguarding training.

Ilkeston is one of those places that Football is the community and we consider ourselves to be an integral part of this. We look forward to our next chapter in continuing to help, support and nurture these amazing children of Ilkeston through life and their learning journey.
